The two most popular types of cinnamon are Ceylon and Cassia, each of which are derived from different trees.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CINNAMON?

Cinnamon has extremely high Anti-Oxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Properties and is also a great source of manganese, fiber, iron and calcium. One of the biggest benefits of consuming cinnamon is its ability to help regulate blood sugar. You get two types of Cinnamon – Cassia and Ceylon. If you intend to consume large amounts of cinnamon or take it as a supplement, cassia can be harmful because of the coumarin content. Ceylon cinnamon is better quality and much safer, but more expensive because it is not commonly found.
